SilC plating™ is a new silver-carbon plating developed by DOWA.
This new material has passed sliding testing of 20,000 cycles with plating thickness of 5μm (load: 2N, sliding distance: 10mm roundtrip), indicating its superior wear resistance.
In addition, it has exceptionally low insertion force and superior contact reliability. As such, it is well suited for applications that require sliding and high reliability, such as charging and high-voltage connectors.
We are able to provide post-plating for components such as terminals, and we can also provide pre-plating (narrow coil material and blank material) at the prototype level.SilC plating™ is a Japan trademark (registered trademark number: 6347766)

Sliding test
Sliding test was conducted under the following conditions.The base material is not exposed even after 20,000 cycles, which shows that SilC plating™ has excellent wear resistance.
